Microsoft and Google have implemented their softwares
in approximately 60 languages. Translator softwares are developed by these companies.
e.g www.translator.google.com or www.windowslivetranslator.com.
I am thinking modern chat applications should have
multi-language support plug-in. If this happens, people who doesn't know each other's languages
can chat. A russian colleague can chat with his indian counterpart in their own languages.

Internet Streaming TV
Its an era of internet streaming... All TV shows and all channels are available online....
What people do these days is use a s-video cable and enjoy the luxury of TV without wasting money on cable.
Limitation is that we stream only one channel at a time. So, after 10 mins, if I like to see some other channel, I have to disturb my comfort and restream it.
If we have a special TV with internet enabled or a separate internet player that we can attach to the TV. The speciality of this TV is each channel corresponds to a new browser tab/window.
We can start streaming of say 5-6 channels at a time and using TV-remote, we can change the channels...so a kind of cable television without spending on expensive cable-connection.
For this to happen, a huge internet bandwidth is required. This seems impossible for next 5-7 years atleast. According to one news, high bandwidth usage will clog the data on the internet by 2010. Then even applications like youtube will be difficult to avail. More than 100billian USD need to be spent to improve internet infrastructure in order to avoid information clogging.

CD/DVD fax-machine
Actually, the first fax machine was invented in 1842 by Alexander Bain. Its been 166 years.
May be we should start thinking about major innovation on this utility.
Fax machine uses telephone line to transfer data..
How about if we have CD/DVD faxer...
You put CD/DVD on your fax machine and its copy will be created other side.
Telephone line's bandwidth is not sufficient for this. We can make this broadband enabled. Just like VOIP phone, fax machine is also given an identity number.
Just put CD/DVD in your machine and enter the destination fax number and it will be copied to other side..
May be Grand innovators like Apple/Google might already have thought about this...
